Q: How do you differentiate your business from others in the industry?
A: I differentiate my business by keeping it personal. When a customer calls me, I go out and price the job myself, and I’m on the job site for 90% of every job. I don't just send out some guy to do the work. I handle everything from quotes to the completion of the job. This personal attention is a big selling point and sets my business apart from others: I know what the customer wants. Also, my price is much lower than other companies because of my lower overhead.
Q. What motivates you to excel at your work every day?
Besides enjoying the work I do, I’m motivated by the sense of pride and accomplishment that comes with completing a project from start to finish. I also love seeing the joy on my customers' faces when they see their new deck or bathroom. Many jobs don't offer the opportunity to see the end result, so it's a fulfilling experience for me to be able to do so in my business.
